- Made GCU debut against Oklahoma State on Feb. 19.
- Held No. 15 Arkansas to one hit in 2.1 scoreless innings with a career-high four strikeouts in relief on April 4.
- Pitched a career-high 3.1 scoreless innings at Chicago State on April 13.

- Struck out a season-high seven batters in a complete game, two-hit victory over Rose State College on Feb. 28, 2016. Earned Conference Pitcher of the Week honors following the performance.

- Father, Bob, made 143 MLB appearances for Baltimore, Cleveland, Kansas City and Seattle in an eight-year career. Tossed 243.0 innings in 1989, starting an AL-leading 36 games. Threw the first 6.0 innings of the Orioles most recent no-hitter, a combined effort on July 13, 1991 against the Athletics.
- Father, Bob, has coached in professional baseball since 2001, most recently in the Washington Nationals organization.
- Sister, Ashlee, played college basketball at Glendale Community College.
- Outside of baseball, he spends time with his family, as well as watching movies, swimming and hiking.
