GCU looks for revenge in first road regular season match
Grand Canyon faces CSUN Thursday at home before hitting the road for the first time in the regular season, Sunday at UC Irvine.
AT A GLANCE
- Adams took home MW Offensive Player of the Week thanks to her performance vs Buffalo, where she was also credited with the assist on Johannes's goal. She leads the team in every major offensive category through the first two weeks of matches.
- Grand Canyon split week 2's action with a win over Buffalo and close loss to Texas, both at GCU Stadium.
- The two center forwards Ellie Johannes and Amanda Adams scored their first goals of the season in the 2-0 win over Buffalo.

MOUNTAIN WEST QUICK FACTS
- Grand Canyon enters its second year in the Mountain West this fall. The new-look conference has five teams departing for the new Pac-12, while Hawaii, UC Davis, and UTEP join as full-time members.
- The Mountain West Championship awaits the top four teams in the conference, starting Nov. 11 in Phoenix, Ariz. at GCU Stadium. The semifinals will take place the 11th, with the championship match on the 14th.
