After ending homestand, GCU looks for revenge in 1st road match
Grand Canyon faces CSU Northridge at home Thursday night before hitting the road for the first time in the regular season Sunday at UC Irvine.
AT A GLANCE
- GCU junior forward Amanda Adams took home Mountain West Offensive Player of the Week thanks to her performance vs. Buffalo, when she scored a goal and earned an assist on Ellie Johannes' goal. She leads the team in every major offensive category through the first two weeks of matches.
- Grand Canyon split Week 2's action with a win over Buffalo and a 1-0 loss to Texas at GCU Stadium.
- Johannes and Adams scored their first goals of the season in the 2-0 win over Buffalo.

MOUNTAIN WEST QUICK FACTS
- Grand Canyon enters its second year in the Mountain West this fall. The new-look conference has five teams departing for the new Pac-12, while Hawai'i, UC Davis and UTEP join as full-time members.
- The Mountain West Championship awaits the top four teams in the conference, starting Nov. 11 in Phoenix at GCU Stadium. The semifinals will take place Nov. 11, with the championship match on Nov. 14.
- Through two weeks, the Lopes are tied for the third-best record in the conference at 2-1.
- GCU was picked to take fourth in the preseason coaches poll.
SCOUTING CSU NORTHRIDGE & UC IRVINE
- This is the fifth meeting between CSU Northridge and Grand Canyon.
