Grand Canyon men's tennis coach
Derek Siddiqui has accepted a new role in collegiate tennis in the Southeast.Â
The move returns Siddiqui to the same region as both sides of his family.Â
"We thank Coach Siddiqui for his three seasons leading our program," GCU Vice President of Athletics
Jamie Boggs said. "We are a family-first department and are happy for Derek's and Mason's opportunity to raise their young kids near both sides of their family. We will miss Derek at GCU. He's a wonderful person and coach. We're moving quickly to identify the next leader of GCU men's tennis to continue the program's winning tradition."Â
A national search is already underway for the next GCU men's tennis head coach. The Lopes have won five men's tennis conference championships since 2016.
