Grand Canyon men's tennis put together a strong weekend at the Veterans Classic in San Diego, highlighted by four consecutive doubles victories and multiple singles wins across three days of competition.
The Lopes opened play Friday with three singles victories against San Diego opponents.
Nikos Lehmann battled past Boti Nagy in three sets, earning a 6-4, 4-6, 6-4 victory.
Daniel Jankoski also needed three sets to defeat Finn Wilmen 7-6, 3-6, 6-3, while
Victor Winheski earned a straight-set 6-2, 7-5 win against Brock Anderson.
GCU carried the momentum into Saturday's doubles competition against Santa Clara.
Andreas Loizas and Winheski defeated Luca Bluett and Luca Lemaitre 6-3, while Jankoski and Lehmann topped Ferran Redza and Tiago Boschmans 6-4.
Winheski and Jankoski followed with singles victories. Winheski defeated Bluett 6-4, 6-3, and Jankoski earned a 6-4, 6-3 win against Boschmans.
Loizas fell to Lemaitre 6-4, 6-3, while Lehmann dropped a 7-5, 6-1 decision to Redza.
The Lopes closed the weekend Sunday with another sweep in doubles, this time against California.
Loizas and Lima defeated Melchior Delloye and Leonardo Cattaneo 6-4, while Jankoski and Lehmann rolled to a 6-2 victory against Benjamin Berger and Andrea Meduri.
Jankoski capped his weekend with another three-set singles win, rallying from a set down to defeat Cal's Berger 3-6, 7-6, 6-4.
Loizas also finished the tournament on a high note, defeating Santa Clara's Luca Bluett 6-2, 6-2 in straight sets.
The Lopes look ahead to the UTR Pro Fall Slam and Las Vegas 75k Challenger.
