GCU competes in next tournament this weekend in Sedona

LA QUINTA, Cali. - The Grand Canyon women's golf team completed the two-day Yale West Invitational on Tuesday at PGA West Greg Norman Course.

GCU finished 11th out of 12 teams in a field that included seven teams ranked in the Clippd Scoreboard top 50.

Graduate Calynne Rosholt finished best for the Lopes at 6 over, tying for 37th. Rosholt had 11 birdies over the course of three rounds, including five Tuesday for a 1-under card. She jumped 10 spots from Monday's finish and had three birdies over her final six holes.

Lopes sophomore Brenna Preap and senior teammate Anci Dy tied for 54th, followed by sophomore Jess Haines in 57th and junior Lena Tremouille in 61st.

The Lopes take little time off between their next tournament, beginning the three-day Red Rocks Invitational at the Oakcreek Country Club in Sedona on Friday.
