Nearly four months removed from its fall season, Head Coach
Brent Nicoson and the GCU women's golf team resume play Saturday in the three-day Alice and John Wallace Women's Golf Classic, looking to build off its 45-19-1 record.

Participants in five tournaments from early September to late October, GCU finished in the top 5 four times with two top 3 placements. It's best outing came at Chambers Bay in University Place, Washington, finishing second out of 16 teams in just its second tournament of the year.

GCU finished the fall campaign in Hawaii Oct. 23, tying for third out of 15 schools in the Rainbow Wahine Invitational.

The Lopes head to California for the first of two visits this spring. GCU's schedule favors travel, with the trip to Palm Desert and a March trip to LaQuinta, California, the only stops outside the state of Arizona in seven scheduled tournaments, including the WAC Championship April 14-16 at the Wigwam Golf Club in Litchfield Park.

Twenty-one teams will compete over the course of three days at the Monterey Country Club, six of which are ranked in the top 50 of the Clippd Scoreboard national rankings. No. 3 Southern California leads the field in terms of highest ranking, followed by No. 5 Oregon, No. 38 San Jose State, No. 42 UC Davis, No. 44 Pepperdine, and No. 50 Long Beach State. Grand Canyon enters No. 64.
