Grand Canyon men's soccer sophomore forward
Bright Nutornutsi earned United Soccer Coaches honors on the All-Far West Region third team.
Nutornutsi led the Lopes in offense with nine goals, four assists and 22 points. Both his goal and point total count finished third in the WAC, while he finished second in the conference in goals per game (0.53), fourth in shots on goal per game (1.18), third in points per game (1.29) and led the league in shot accuracy (.571).
A native of Accra, Ghana, Nutornutsi tallied a point in 10 of 17 games this season and had a stretch of five straight games in which he recorded at least a point from Sept. 8 to Sept. 27. He is one of seven WAC players to be named to either the first, second or third tema of All-Far West Region.
The award is his second this fall after also earning All-WAC first-team honors.
