The Grand Canyon men's tennis team will kick off the fall season in Tucson for the Wildcat Invitational this weekend.

The Lopes, under new head coach
Derek Siddiqui, will face off against six teams, including host Arizona and WAC rival New Mexico State, in the three-day event at the LaNelle Robson Tennis Center.

The tournament will feature five single draws and two doubles draws. Junior
Wyatt Anderson and newcomer
Ntal Richards will compete in the top singles flight for GCU while junior
Adrien Coulome will face the top seed Georgio Samaha from New Mexico in the second flight.

In doubles, all eight Lopes will compete in the two flights.
Loic Van Zeggelaar and Coulome will face the top-seeded Arizona duo of Jay Friend and Eric Padgham in Flight 1, while 2021 WAC Freshman of the Year
Jonathan Da Silva and newcomer
David Wekesa team up for the Lopes in the same draw.

In the second flight, Richards and Anderson are paired together while sophomore
Martim Marujo and freshman
Paolo Rosati face NMSU duo Jordy Visser and Itay Feigin.
