The Grand Canyon women's golf team heads to Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational in 'Ewa Beach, O'ahu, hosted at the Hoakalei Country Club. The invitational will have three rounds with the first starting on Monday, March 7 at 10:45 a.m. (Phoenix time)
THREE THINGS TO KNOW
- 10-TEAM TOURNAMENT:Â The 10-team tournament will be one of the smaller tournaments that the Lopes enter. Â
- TRAVELING FIVE:  For the second weekend in a row, GCU travels three seniors and two sophomores for the Thompson Invitational. Seniors Siripatsorn Patchana, Payton Fehringer and Alexis Linam look to lead the Lopes with sophomores Carly Strole and Constanza Guerrero also making the trip.
- BUILDING OFF HOME WIN: The Lopes hope to continue their last tournament's success, as they won the GCU Invitational with Linam taking the individual title.

The tournament's field includes hosts Hawai'i, California Baptist, Gonzaga, Long Beach State, Louisiana-Monroe, Nevada, Sacramento State, UC Riverside and Wyoming. The tournament consists of 54 holes with two rounds on Monday and the final round on Tuesday. Both days will begin with a shotgun start at 10:45 a.m. (Phoenix time). The Hoakalei Country Club is a par 72 with 6,123 total yards.

LAST TIME OUTÂ
GCU won its home tournament with a program-record team score of 4 under par. Linam won the individual title at 3 under par. The entire Lopes lineup of Linam, fPatchana (tied for fourth), Guerrero (tied for 10th), Fehringer (tied for 14th) and Strole (tied for 18th) finished in the 104-player field's top 18.Â
WHAT'S NEXT?
The Lopes will stay close to home for the Red Rocks Invitational, hosted by Northern Arizona at the Oakcreek Country Club in Sedona, Arizona.
