The Grand Canyon women's golf team heads to The Show this week at Spanish Trail Country Club in Las Vegas. The invitational, hosted by Furman and UNLV, will have three rounds with the first starting on Monday at 9 a.m. (Phoenix time).
THREE THINGS TO KNOW
- BUILDING OFF SPRING OPENER: The Lopes took second in their opening spring tournament at the 12-team Valley Invitational, which was hosted by Bakersfield and Cal Poly. A third-round rally made up seven strokes in the final round but finished five behind winner San Francisco.
- TRAVELING FIVE:  For the second weekend in a row, GCU travels three seniors and two sophomores for a tournament. Seniors Siripatsorn Patchana, Payton Fehringer and Alexis Linam led the Lopes to its second-place finish last week by all finishing in the top 11 with Patchana shooting a final-round 68 to take third place. Sophomores Carly Strole and Constanza Guerrero will also make the trip.
- DUAL HOSTING: The Show is hosted by Furman and UNLV in Las Vegas at the Spanish Trail Country Club.
