Fall season continues for Lopes

Both teams continue action this weekend in Tucson, San Diego
Both Grand Canyon tennis teams will be in action this weekend as the fall season begins to ramp up into full gear.
From Friday to Sunday, the men will travel to Tucson for the Arizona Invitational while the women kick off their fall campaign in California for the San Diego State Fall Classic.
The men began their fall schedule two weeks ago at the Larry Easley Memorial Classic in Las Vegas. Junior Mariano Argote picked up two wins in singles and in doubles, where he teamed with sophomore Jiri Novak to reach the semifinals.
The Arizona Invitational will be the Wildcats' first fall home event since 2019. GCU will face competition in four singles draws and a pair of doubles draws against six other schools, including New Mexico State, Arizona and Gonzaga.
The women will kick off their fall season at San Diego State as they face players from the host Aztecs, Long Beach State, CSU Northridge, UTEP and San Jose State. Four Lopes returners will be in action, including reigning WAC Singles Player of the Year Natasha Puehse and fifth-year Autum Prudhomme.
