1 | MAKING HISTORY | Men's Volleyball |
The third-seeded men's volleyball squad improved to 18-10 on the season after defeating sixth-seeded McKendree in the first round of the MIVA Playoffs on Saturday. The 25-22, 23-25, 25-21 and 25-19 victory earned the Lopes the first home playoff win in school history.  (More: Game Recap) |

2 | NOWLIN NEARS NO-NO | Softball |
The GCU softball program cruised to an 11-0 shutout victory over CSUB on Saturday to improve to 6-3 in conference play. The team's unbeatable performance was led by Taylor Nowlin who earned her eighth career WAC Pitcher of the Week honor after nearly pitching a no-hitter. Nowlin gave up just one hit in the fifth and final inning, with seven strikeouts and one walk to earn her fourth shutout of the year.    (More: Game Recap) |

3 | BASEBALL KEEPS ROLLIN' | Baseball |
The baseball team has won four straight WAC series after a pair of victories over Chicago State. On Friday, the Lopes offense took care of business en route to a 12-2 victory over the Cougars. 4 | POWELL RETURNS HOME | Women's Basketball |
Nicole Powell was named the program's eighth head coach in program history on Tuesday afternoon. Powell returns to her hometown after assisting the Oregon women's basketball team to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament. In 2016, she helped the Ducks secure the No. 3 recruiting class in the country. (More: Nicole Powell Release) |

5 | RECORDS CONTINUE TO FALL | Track & Field |
The track & field squad had another successful week after several Lopes posted WAC-leading times and marks during a pair of meets in Azusa, Calif. The distance squad made noise as they broke three program records on Thursday night. The Lopes will participate in two more meets before the WAC Outdoor Championships.
