Lopes swimming and diving split up for weekend meet

Lopes swimming heads to Northwestern, divers head to Flagstaff for this weekends meet.
PHOENIX--The Grand Canyon men's and women's swim team will travel northeast to Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill., for the three day Northwestern TYR Invitational from Friday, Nov. 17 through Sunday, Nov. 19. This same weekend, the men's and women's diving team heads north on I-17 to Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Ariz., for the Lumberjack Diving Invitational from Friday, Nov. 17 through Sunday Nov. 19. Â
The Northwestern TYR Invitational will be host to swimmers from all over the map, including Grand Canyon, Fresno State, Truman State, Michigan State, Illinois State, Saint Louis, Ohio and the University of Illinois at Chicago. While the second annual Lumberjack Invitational will consist of schools from three different conferences, Grand Canyon, New Mexico State and NAU from the Western Athletic Conference, Arizona State and California from the Pac-12 and Colorado State, Nevada, New Mexico from the Mountain West Conference. Â
The Northwestern TYR Invitational at the The Dellora A. and Lester J. Norris Aquatics Center will begin on Friday Nov. 17 and Saturday Nov. 18 at 9:00 a.m. CT (8:00 a.m MT) with the finals on both days starting at 5:00 p.m. CT (4:00 p.m. MT). On Sunday Nov. 19, the events will start at 9:00 a.m. CT (8:00 a.m MT) with the finals on Sunday starting at 3:00 p.m. CT (2:00 p.m MT). Â
The Lumberjack Diving Invitational will take place in the Aquatic and Tennis Complex at NAU from Friday-Sunday with the action on each day starting at 11:00 a.m. MT. Â
