Lopes' 2026-27 schedule unveiled

Schedule displays 1st season of both squads competing in MW together
Grand Canyon swimming and diving announced its 2026–27 schedule, featuring a fall slate that includes trips to Hawai'i and Michigan, four Phoenix-area competitions and the Lopes' first Mountain West Championships as a combined men's and women's program.
GCU opens the season with the Purple-Black Time Trials on Oct. 9–10 at Reese Aquatic Center before traveling to Long Beach, California, for the MPSF Open Water Championships on Oct. 17. The Lopes then head to Honolulu for three days of competition at Hawai'i from Oct. 22–24.
The Lopes return home Oct. 31 to host Washington State, Arizona Christian and Ottawa (Arizona) at Reese Aquatic Center, with Washington State competing against the GCU women. GCU remains in Phoenix for a Nov. 6–7 matchup with Air Force at Brophy Pool before the Lopes divers travel to Flagstaff for the NAU Diving Invitational on Nov. 19–20.
GCU closes the fall semester with a trip to Rochester, Michigan, for the Golden Grizzly Classic from Dec. 2–5 before hosting Arizona Christian and Ottawa on Dec. 12 at Reese Aquatic Center.
The Lopes begin 2027 at home against Simon Fraser on Jan. 2 before making the short trip to Tempe to face Arizona State on Jan. 9. GCU returns to Reese Aquatic Center on Jan. 16 for a meet featuring San Diego State, California Baptist, Arizona Christian and Ottawa, with the GCU women competing against San Diego State and California Baptist. The regular season concludes Jan. 30 in Las Vegas against UNLV and UC Davis.
Championship season begins with the Mountain West Championships from Feb. 16–20 in Houston. The postseason continues with the CSCAA NCAA Last Chance meet March 6 in Tempe, NCAA Zone E Diving Championships from March 8–10 in Flagstaff and CSCAA National Invitational Championships from March 11–13 in Ocala, Florida.
The season concludes with the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships in Austin, Texas. The women's championships are scheduled for March 17–20, followed by the men's championships from March 24–27.
