Panaccione's big fly wasn't just a walk-off, it was a buzzer beater. With Seattle U facing time constraints on its travel plans out of Phoenix, it was determined earlier that the 13th inning would be the last. Had Panaccione not drove in the winning runs, the game would have ended in a tie.
After the first two batters of the inning were retired, GCU pinch-hitter
Brian Kraft reached on a walk. Panaccione followed with his fourth hit of the game.

"Baseball is such a grind," said GCU coach Andy Stankiewicz. "I think our guys grew up today. No matter how at-bats go early, you still have to stay in and know you're going to be in those same situations later in the game. You have to be mentally strong and believe in yourself and you have to produce. I hope our guys learned that today.
We knew coming in this was going to be a great series," added Stankiewicz. "It was like a heavyweight fight, trading blows, trading punches."
Zebastian Valenzuela threw the final three and one-third innings to get the win and improve to 2-3.
