"We had a great day today especially picking up wins over conference opponents," said head coach Greg Prudhomme. "I can't say enough about our women's team who have not dropped a singles match in the 1-3 positions in the last six matches. We will have our hands full with many tough matches ahead, but these ladies are showing that they belong on this stage. Both teams are learning to do things in the GCU way, with great attitude and superior effort. The men showed great character after dropping the doubles point to win their match. We will rest quickly and be ready to go again tomorrow."
Grand Canyon will remain in Edinburg, Tex. for a pair of matches against Kansas City tomorrow. The women will start at 9 a.m. (AZ time), with the men starting at 1 p.m.
