The men also had a huge win. Cameron is a team that has been top 20 in the nation for many years. It came down to some hard fought wins. It was a great day on the courts for GCU tennis.”
The women rallied from a 2-1 deficit in the doubles to win four of the six singles matches to edge CU.
Priscilla Annoual, ranked 26
th in the nation, won in straight sets over No. 29 Amanda Moberg.
Lana Macukat,
Justine Majan and
Taylor Young all won their singles matches in straight sets.
The men jumped out to a 2-1 lead and then used a pair of three-set wins by
Yann Kaelin and
Andrew Mayer to earn the victory. Kaelin was down one set and rallied to win the second set and also 8-6 in a third set tiebreaker.
The men and women will both be off until March 28, when they will close out their home schedule with a match against D-I Idaho State. First serve is scheduled for 10 a.m.
