The Grand Canyon University women’s soccer team fell to Montana State University – Billings tonight, 2-1, on the GCU Soccer Field to suffer their first home loss. The Antelopes are now 1-3-0, while the YellowJackets improved their record to 4-0-0.

Cat Lena had five saves for the night as the YellowJackets produced seven shots on goal. The ‘Lopes had three shots on goal.
Jessica Lincoln scored the lone goal in the first half on an assist from
Chelsea Santos in the 19
th minute to give the ‘Lopes an early lead. Both squads were even with seven shots apiece in the first half.
The YellowJackets came out firing in the second half, as they took three shots within the first four minutes. MSU-Billings evened the score in the 78
th minute on a long goal from the left side and just six minutes later took a 2-1 lead with a header just past Lena.
Tonight’s game marked the end of non-conference play for GCU. The ‘Lopes will next be in action when they open Pacific West Conference play at Fresno Pacific on Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
