Preach Named PacWest Player of the Week

The conference announced the honor Sunday.
Preach helped lead GCU to a 2-0 week, with wins over Hawai’i Hilo and Chaminade. She averaged 12.83 assists and 1.5 blocks per set for the 15th-ranked Antelopes.
She totaled nine blocks, two solos and seven assists, and 77 assists in a pair of 3-0 victories.
Preach ranked second in assists per set and tied for fourth in block average for the week in the PacWest.
She also contributed offensively, ranking second in hitting for the week in the conference with a .500 percentage. She posted 13 kills in 24 attempts with just one error.
Junior middle blocker Kristen Johannsen and sophomore libero Mackenzie Phelps were named to the PacWest Fantastic 15.
Grand Canyon takes on No. 14 BYU-Hawai’i Monday at 10:30 p.m. Arizona Time.
GCU (12-1, 2-1) wraps up its four-match PacWest Hawai’i road trip with a Tuesday night contest against Hawai’i Pacific at 10 p.m.
