GCU set for first match against Hawai'i
Grand Canyon volleyball hosts Hawai'i (10-3, 2-0 MW) in its first conference home-weekend of the regular season, Friday and Saturday with both matches starting at 6 pm.

- GCU third-year head coach Kendra Potts has a career record of 162-50Â (.764) that places her ninth among active NCAA coaches.

LAST TIME OUT
- Grand Canyon volleyball split its two-match Mountain West opening series at Nevada, falling 3-2 on Thursday, before responding with a 3-2 comeback victory Friday. GCU hit .331 in the opener and pushed Nevada to 16-14 in the fifth, then overcame a 2-0 deficit the following night by winning the final three sets while holding the Wolf Pack below .160 hitting in each. The Lopes finished the weekend 7-6 overall and 1-1 in Mountain West play.

The Lopes split home-court with UNLV next weekend starting in Vegas (October 8th) and then playing in Phoenix (October 10th).Â
