“The men and women finished with strong wins in their sixth match in the last five days,” said head coach Greg Prudhomme. “I can't believe the heart that both of the teams showed this week. For some of the players it’s the most matches they have ever played in this short period of time. We were the favored team in both matches today, but both teams were beat up a little going into it and I knew our opponents were ready to put up a good fight. I was confident that we could get the wins today, but I didn't know it would be 9-0 and 8-1.”
The women and men will next be in action when they travel to San Diego, Calif. to take on Point Loma on Feb. 23. The following day they will travel to Los Angeles, Calif. to face Azusa Pacific. Point Loma and Azusa Pacific, current NAIA schools, will join the Pacific West Conference next season.
