The 13th-ranked Grand Canyon University women’s basketball team will host San Francisco State on Friday, Nov. 25 and Cal State Dominguez Hills on Saturday, Nov. 26 at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix. Both games are scheduled to tip at 5 p.m.
GCU improved one spot to No.13 in the recently released USA Today /ESPN Top 25 poll.
The Antelopes are coming off an opening weekend that saw them defeat Nebraska-Kearney on Nov. 18 and Adams State on Nov. 19. It marked GCU’s 17th-straight regular-season win and 17th-straight home win. The team last lost at home on March 4, 2010.
Maylinn Smith will lead GCU into this weekend, having scored 40 points, including 16-for-17 shooting from the free-throw line, in the two opening-weekend wins.

Jallisa Butler averaged 8.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 2.0 steals over the two games. She shot 53.3% (8-for-15) from the floor, the sixth-best mark in the conference for the week.
Butler and Smith were named to the PacWest Women’s Basketball Weekly Top 10 Honor Roll for their efforts.
Grand Canyon returns six from last season and was picked by the Pacific West Conference coaches during the preseason to win their fifth conference championship in the past six years. The ‘Lopes received seven of the possible 10 first-place votes.
