Lopes lose doubleheader to Hawai'i Hilo

Matt Fox (pictured) hit a home run in each game to give him a Pacific West Conference leading 10 for the season, but the GCU slugger's performance wasn't enough for the Lopes to halt the team's losing skid Wednesday.
The Lopes (11-22, 5-9) dropped a pair of league games to Hawai'i Hilo 9-4 and 8-6 at Brazell Stadium.
"It's coming down to not putting teams away," said GCU head coach Dave Stapleton.
Fox's two-run first-inning homer got GCU an early 2-0 first-game lead, but the Vulcans (15-13, 6-8) tied the game in the sixth.
