Jill Mahoney is in her fourth year as an assistant coach at GCU and is primarily responsible for player development, basketball operations and administrative duties.
She was hired as full-time assistant in 2009 after beginning her coaching career as a graduate assistant.
Mahoney played one season (2006-07) for the Antelopes, averaging 7.3 points and 4.3 rebounds. She was second on the team in assists with 60 and led the team in charges taken with 23. She was selected honorable mention All-Pacific West Conference for the program's first PacWest championship team and winningest team in school history (23-4).
Prior to GCU, Mahoney starred at Bethany College, where she was co-Newcomer of the Year in her lone season at the NAIA school. She played junior college basketball at Cloud County Community College after her three-time all-state prep career in Russell, Kan.
She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in corporate fitness at GCU in Dec. 2007 and her master's in Educational Administration in Dec. 2009.
Mahoney resides in Tempe.
