Ethan Rucker enters his third season as the Special Assistant to the Head Coach for 2023.
Prior to joining the coaching staff, Rucker played middle blocker as a student athlete at Arroyo Grande High School in Arroyo Grande, California. He also played 4 years for 805 Elite Volleyball Club. Â
Prior to joining the coaching staff, Rucker played middle blocker as a student athlete at Arroyo Grande High School in Arroyo Grande, California. He also played 4 years for 805 Elite Volleyball Club. Â
While at Arroyo Grande High School, Rucker assisted with the women's varsity volleyball team for two years, helping them earn their league championship. He also was an assistant coach for 805 Elite Volleyball Club working under the instruction of Cal Poly Head Coach Caroline Walters. Rucker credits Walters with introducing him to Nate Ngo from the USA Men's National Team. With the help of Ngo, Rucker has learned Data volley and has had the opportunity to assist both Cal Poly and the USA Men's National Team using his Data Volley skills.
Rucker started attending GCU in 2020 and is pursing Bachelor of Science in Sports Management.
