Four Grand Canyon men's volleyball players received All-Mountain Pacific Sports Federation honors, including MPSF All-Freshman Team honoreeÂ
Trevell Jordan becoming the seventh Lopes player to receive that honor in program history.Â
After losing three American Volleyball Coaches Association All-Americans, an MPSF second-team member and an All-MPSF honorable mention, the Lopes reloaded to be ranked 11th in the nation for its 17-9 record with 11 of its 15 opponents ranked in the top 20 nationally and matchups against five of last season's seven NCAA Tournament teams.Â
Trent Moser, All-MPSFÂ Second Team
Moser was named MPSF Offensive Player of the Week on Jan. 20 following a standout early-season performance. Over the full season, the 6-foot-8 outside hitter appeared in 89 sets and totaled 256 kills (2.88 per set) while hitting .319.
The native of Gilbert, Arizona, added 98 digs (1.1Â per set), 45 total blocks (0.51 per set) and 18 aces. He led the Lopes with 299.5 points, averaging 3.37 per set.
Moser had a season-high 21 kills against George Mason after hitting .688 the night before. Moser has more than doubled his kill total from last season at BYU, where he played his first two seasons.Â
Trevell Jordan, All-MPSF Freshman Team/ All-MPSFÂ Honorable Mention
Jordan played in 66 sets during his debut season, tallying 111 kills (1.68 per set) on a .419 hitting percentage to be one of seven All-MPSF Freshmen team honorees.
Jordan, a Mesa native who graduated from Desert Ridge High School, was a key force at the net with 67 blocks (1.02 per set), and added four service aces and 22 digs. The 6-foot-10 middle blocker finished the season with 154.5 points (2.34 per set).Â
Jordan, one of GCU's highest-rated recruits in program history, led the conference's freshmen in blocks.Â
Anderson was a two-time MPSF Player of the Week (Offensive and Defensive) on March 24, and also earned Offensive Player of the Week on Feb. 17
, making him one of just a few players in the league to earn both honors in the same week.
The graduate student from Largo, Florida, appeared in 76 sets, delivering 180 kills (2.37 per set) on a .310 hitting clip. The 6-foot-5 opposite added 107 digs (1.41 per set), 35 total blocks (0.46 per set), and 28 aces, culminating in 226.5 points (2.98 per set).
In his second season with the Lopes, Anderson has been very productive. One of the highlight moments of the regular season was when Anderson dished four service aces in a row to fuel a 17-3 run to sweep BYU at home.Â
Duncanson was named MPSF Defensive Player of the Week on Jan. 13, helping set the tone for GCU's early defensive identity. Over the season, the 6-foot-9 middle blocker played in 94 sets and posted 110 kills (1.17 per set) on a .430 hitting percentage.
The native of Ontario, Canada, also contributed 75 total blocks (0.80 per set), 24 aces, and 25 digs. He tallied 175.5 points, averaging 1.87 per set.

At 6 feet 9, Duncanson led the conference's middle blockers in service aces with 13. He transferred to GCU after playing at Charleston and Queen's previously. Â
The Lopes, ranked ninth in NCAA RPI, will open MPSF Championship play against the winner of No. 8 seed Concordia Irvine vs. No. 9 seed Vanguard at 5 p.m. Wednesday in Malibu, California, at Pepperdine. No. 5 seed GCU did not play Vanguard but swept Concordia Irvine twice this season. With a win, the Lopes would advance to a Thursday quarterfinal against No. 4 seed and host Pepperdine.
