Tara Condon joined the Grand Canyon University Sports Medicine staff in May 2018 and is in her second year serving as an Assistant Athletic Trainer. She oversees the medical coverage for the men’s soccer, and men’s and women’s tennis teams.
Condon, a native of Tomkins Cove, NY, began her education in the undergraduate athletic training program at Ithaca College, graduating in May 2016. She then received her master’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in Exercise and Sports Science with an emphasis in Athletic Training in May 2018.
During her time in Chapel Hill, Condon worked as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer with the women’s rowing, and the men’s soccer teams. She participated in various research projects, and has presented her findings at conferences across the globe. Her latest research includes examining movement quality, and its relation to workload in collegiate soccer athletes.
Additionally, Condon has also worked as an intern at the United States Military Academy (USMA) at West Point, as well as with the Northeast Rugby Academy - a rugby development team – where she was invited to cover as the head athletic trainer during a tournament in Costa Rica.
