Began season with 14.0 scoreless innings vs. Gonzaga on Feb. 20 and Central Michigan on Feb. 27, allowing just five hits between the two games.
Pitched 7.0 scoreless innings vs. Cal Poly on March 13, limiting the Mustangs to just four hits in a 3-2 GCU victory.
Ended the year with a 4.0-inning scoreless relief appearance, retiring 12 of the 13 batters he faced with the lone batter reaching on an error.

Appeared in 20 games and started 7 of them, splitting the majority of the mid-week starting duties with Zebastian Valenzuela.
Recorded a 4.72 ERA and struck out 39 batters.
Tied for fourth in the country in victories (8) amongst freshmen, a mark which ranked second overall in WAC.

Made GCU debut on Feb. 14, a relief effort in win over Omaha.
