Allowed one or no earned runs in five of his first seven starts of the season.
At the season's mid-way point, had one of the top 20 ERAs in the nation, sitting at 1.38 after an April 7 performance at Sacramento State.
Started the season out on the right note, tossing 6.0 scoreless one-hit innings on Opening Night against No. 22 Oklahoma State. He struck out seven.

Appeared in relief for his first five games in a GCU uniform before making debut as a starter against UNLV on March 22. In his first career start, he allowed just one earned run in 5.0 innings as GCU topped the Rebels 10-8.
Earned first collegiate win in a long relief appearance at North Dakota on April 22. He tossed 3.2 scoreless innings, allowing just two hits in Grand Canyon's 10-4 series-opening victory.

Father, Pete, played soccer at Kent State from 1985-1987 and worked in the front offices of the Phoenix Suns and Arizona Diamondbacks.
Mother, Amy, played women's basketball at Northern Arizona University from 1993-1995.
