Puehse wins player of year for 3rd time; Adamovic wins coach of year
Puehse checks in at No. 113 nationally in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's rankings for Division I women's tennis singles players. She adds the 2024 WAC Player of the Year honor to her resume that also includes the same award in 2022 as a junior and in 2021 as a sophomore.
Adamovic has not only continued the success of the GCU women's tennis program, she has built upon the foundation in 2023-24. The Lopes carry an impressive 19-2 overall record and went a perfect 7-0 in conference play.
Strombacha added to her long list of accomplishments as a Lope by earning first-team All-WAC honors in singles for the third straight season. On Court 2, Strombacha went 17-1 overall and 6-1 in WAC play. She enters the conference tournament on a five-match winning streak.
Morozova provided a look into the program's future by landing on the first team for singles as a freshman. She went 13-2 in her rookie campaign and a perfect 7-0 in WAC play. Morozova played primarily on Court 4 but also saw action on the third, fifth and sixth courts. She carries a nine-match winning streak in singles into the conference tournament.
