The Grand Canyon track and field team will join an elite field of competitors at the Mt. SAC Relays after the majority of the team had an off-weekend last week.
On Thursday through Saturday, the Lopes will compete with some of the best in the nation in Torrance, California. The likes of Oregon, Arkansas, Miami, UCLA and Houston will be in attendance.
The Lopes will travel athletes of all events.
On Thursday,
Halle Jenkins and
Jacob Pringle will compete in the steeplechase while the rest of the team will begin competition on Friday.
Friday's action will begin with
Walter Moffett throwing javelin at 9 a.m. and ends with
Cannon Angotti and
Christian Fagerlin scheduled to run the 5,000-meter run at 11:05 p.m.
Following this prestigious competition in its 63rd year, the Lopes will only have two meets remaining prior to the WAC Championships, including one taking place at GCU while the other will return to Tucson.
