The Grand Canyon men's golf team travels to Eugene, Oregon, to partake in the Duck Invitational at the Eugene Country Club, hosted by Oregon.

First- and second-round action will take place Monday with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. (Phoenix time). The third and final round begins Tuesday at the same time. The Eugene Country Club is a par-71, 6,995-yard course with a course rating of 74.0.

GCU is one of 14 teams competing and enters the tournament No. 108 in the nation. Among the field is No. 23 Colorado State, No. 28 Oregon, No. 52 Colorado, No. 57 Kansas and No. 81 Oregon State.

The Lopes are coming off a tie for second place at its home course in Phoenix on March 13, when it finished one stroke back of winner TCU in a 16-team field. The Duck Invitational is one of three tournaments that the Lopes will compete in the next 18 days to prepare for the WAC Championship, which starts April 28 at Boulder Creek Golf Club in Boulder City, Nevada.

Nicky Kling, Matt Braley,
Tommaso Zorzetto,
Sam Murphy and
Josh McCabe in Eugene this week. Murphy recently placed fourth at the GCU Invitational at 9 under par, with the other four Lopes all earning top-25 finishes.
