Nonconference play ends with Princeton

The No. 5 Grand Canyon men's volleyball team will wrap up nonconference play with two matches at GCU Arena on Wednesday and Friday against Princeton.

Both matches will be streamed live on ESPN+.

3 THINGS TO KNOW

PERFECT HOME RECORD: The Lopes are in the midst of a 10-match homestand with two matches against the Tigers. GCU is one of three programs in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation with an unbeaten home record, joining UCLA (8-0) and BYU (8-0).
BEST IN THE NATION: GCU has been one of the best offensive teams in the nation this season. The Lopes enter this week tied with UCLA for the top hitting percentage in the nation at .373. Last week, the Lopes won matches over No. 11 Ball State and Olivet Nazarene, hitting .561 and .511, respectively.
TEAM CONTRIBUTIONS: In the victory over Olivet Nazarene, GCU used 15 players in the 3-0 win. The Lopes had 13 players record a kill and sophomore Karter Rogers led the team with seven kills on .545 hitting.

SCOUTING

Princeton enters this road trip on a four-match winning streak and an 8-8 record. The Tigers have been on a West Coast swing this season, going 1-3 against MPSF opponents UCLA, Pepperdine and Concordia-Irvine. Junior outside hitter Ben Harrington is the main offensive weapon for Princeton, recording 217 kills and 3.58 kills per set. Defensively, Nyherowo Omene leads the team with 41 blocks.

WHAT'S NEXT?

GCU will host Concordia-Irvine at GCU Arena as MPSF play resumes on March 24 and 25.
