Lopes coming off two week break

The Grand Canyon cross country team is heading to Santa Clara, Calif. to compete in the Bronco Invitational for the second year in a row.

Last time the Lopes were in town, they had three of the program's top five fastest times at the Santa Clara course, Baylands Regional Park. The Lopes men got 11th out of 36 while the women placed 5th out of 28.

This meet marks the last regular season meet before WAC. The team is coming off of a two-week break where the women beat Arizona State and Arizona in the meet hosted in Tucson, Ariz.
