Keira Christie-Galloway won WAC Track Athlete of the Week.
Christie-Galloway has broken the GCU 60-meter hurdles school record four times already this season. The most recent came in the final at New Mexico's MLK Collegiate Invitational, where she posted a time of 8.27 seconds on Saturday. This is the fastest mark in the WAC and a personal best.
Originally from Ottawa, Canada, Christie-Galloway is a transfer from Arizona State after starting her college career at Iowa State.
Her notable accomplishments include the Canadian U20 and U18 records in the 100-meter hurdles. The U20 national record had been a 36-year-old mark.
Christie-Galloway has added veteran experience to the Lopes'Â indoor season success and hopes to help the team defend its WAC indoor championship in February.
