- LaBarge scored his first career brace and Schmidt made five dazzling saves to propel GCU past the Bruins. LaBarge gave the Lopes the lead with the first goal of the game in the 23rd minute and extended the advantage to 3-1Â in the 80th minute. Both goals were assisted by Joash.
- Schmidt was called to action early with two saves in the fourth minute and a penalty-kick save in the 15th minute to keep the match scoreless. The transfer from Coastal Carolina earned the victory in his GCU debut. Freshman forward Zion Long also had a career day with his first collegiate goal, helping break a 1-1 tie in the 68th minute.
