Gianna Gourley was named WAC Offensive Player of the Week for the first time this season.

Gourley tallied two goals and an assist to lead the team with five points during the first road trip of the season last weekend.

The Las Vegas native has lived up to her WAC Preseason Offensive Player of the Year honor with four goals and nine points to top the Lopes and rank second in the WAC this season. Gourley tallied an assist in a 3-0 win at UNLV on Thursday before scoring a pair of second half-goals in just over three minutes in a 3-3 draw at Utah State on Sunday.

On Sunday, Gourley redirected an attempted clearance by the Aggie goalkeeper into the back of the net in the 52nd minute before converting her first penalty kick in the 55th minute to give GCU a 3-2 lead.

Gourley has tallied a point in three of the first four games while recording multi-goal games against Hawaii and Utah State.

The Lopes (2-1-1) will be back in action at home on Thursday at 7 p.m. in GCU Stadium for a Welcome Week match against Arizona (2-0-1).
