The Grand Canyon men's golf team heads to the Duck Invitational at Eugene Country Club in Eugene, Oregon on Monday and Tuesday. The invitational will have three rounds with the first of two rounds on Monday starting at 8:30 a.m.
THREE THINGS TO KNOW
- BACK-TO-BACK TOURNAMENTS:Â The Lopes are back in action exactly a week after they hosted their own tournament.
- SIX PLAYING: The Lopes team will be combined of Matteo Cristoni, Sam Murphy, Matthew Braley, Nicky Kling and Craig Passmore. Tim Nielsen will be playing as an individual at the tournament.
- 14-TEAMS: The Lopes take one 13 other schools with a few similar names in WAC school Seattle U and fellow Arizona school Arizona State.
GCU INVITATIONAL
The tournament field includes host school Oregon, Arizona State, Boise State, Cal Poly, Idaho, Loyola Marymount, Oregon State, Pacific, San Jose State, Santa Clara, Seattle U, Utah, and Washington. The 54-hole tournament will take place over two days with 36 holes on Monday and 18 on Tuesday. The course will be a par 71 on both days with the yardage at 7,015.
LAST TIME OUTÂ
GCU hosted the GCU Invitational on March 14-15 a tournament in which they won for the first time ever. GCU took firs tout of 23 teams and were led by junior
Matthew Braley, who finished tied for third. SophomoresÂ
Craig Passmore (tied for fifth) andÂ
Nicky Kling (tied for seventh) and freshmenÂ
Matteo Cristoni of Italy andÂ
Sam Murphy of Ireland each shooting rounds that counted toward the victory.

The Lopes head to UC Santa Barbara for the UCSB Collegiate Invitational on April 11-12 in Santa Barbara, California on the Sandpiper golf course.
