Grand Canyon tennis head coach
Greg Prudhomme will wrap up a busy year of speaking engagements next week, when he speaks at the U.S. Professional Tennis Association World Conference in Las Vegas.
The USPTA World Conference is the largest gathering of tennis professionals, industry leaders, representatives and media members in the world.
Prudhomme will present on Tuesday on the topic of performance psychology for coaches and discuss how to instill motivation, confidence and resilience in players. It will be the 11th speaking event that Prudhomme has done over the past year, wrapping up a summer of mental performance messages.
The combination of Prudhomme earning his doctoral degree in performance psychology and his 10 WAC titles over the past six years with GCU men's and women's tennis has made him a popular speaker on mental performance. Prudhomme has addressed such topics as team culture, mental toughness, peak performance and sportsmanship.
Over the past year, Prudhomme has spoken at several conferences and podcasts, including in-state events at the Arizona Athletic Training Association Annual Symposium and the Arizona High School Coaches Association Annual Conference. In the field of tennis, Prudhomme has spoken at the USPTA Webinar, the SWPTA Annual Conference and the At the Net Podcast.
In other fields, Prudhomme has spoken with international consultant agency TIGNUM, furniture company Knoll, sport nutrition supplement company Xendurance and most recently at the GCU Ground Manager Summit at the GCU Golf Course.
