Grand Canyon's road schedule comes to a close this weekend with a four-game series at Tarleton beginning on Friday. GCU is tied for the WAC lead with California Baptist and can clinch the No. 1 seed in the WAC Tournament with two wins.
All four games will be streamed on the WAC Digital Network.

THREE THINGS TO KNOW
- TOP 50, TOP 50: The Lopes are among a group of 16 teams that hold the distinction of ranking in the nation's top 50 in both batting average and earned run average. GCU's .287 batting average ranks 42nd while a 4.00 earned run average ranks 46th.
 - WAC STANDINGS: GCU is tied for the WAC lead with California Baptist at 23-5. While the Lopes play at Tarleton this weekend, California Baptist is at New Mexico State. The two teams meet at GCU Ballpark next weekend to decide the WAC regular-season title. Meanwhile, the Lopes could lock up the WAC Tournament's No. 1 seed with two more victories.
 - THE ROTATION: GCU's starting pitching rotation of Pierson Ohl, Carter Young, Dawson McCarville and Zach Barnes is coming off of its best weekend, holding Dixie State to two earned runs over 25 1/3 innings (0.71 ERA) in the four-game sweep. Ohl was named the WAC Pitcher of the Week for the second time this season after tossing his sixth consecutive complete-game win in conference play. Young followed suit with a seven-inning, complete-game shutout of his own.
SCOUTING
Like last weekend's opponent, Tarleton is in its first year transitioning to the Division I level. This will mark the first meeting between the Lopes and Texans. Tarleton is playing its final four regular-season games.
The Texans are coming off of a series loss at UT Rio Grande Valley following splits with Northern Colorado and New Mexico State.
Out of the WAC's 10 teams, Tarleton ranks sixth with a .268 batting average and eighth with a 6.68 earned run average.
