The Grand Canyon women's soccer team earned its first weekly WAC award this season with sophomore forward
Dani Babb being named WAC Offensive Player of the Week after scoring two goals and adding two assists in a pair of road wins at Chicago State last week.

Babb recorded two goals and an assist in a 6-1 win last Thursday in 50 minutes before adding a second assist against the Cougars on Saturday in a 4-0 win.

Babb bookended the firtst game's GCU scoring showcase by scoring goals in the 14th and 87th minutes.

Raeanne Jones found Babb on the back post for her first goal to put the Lopes up 1-0 while
Jaycee Iranshad found Babb in the middle of the box for her second goal to make the score 6-1 in the second half.

In the second game, Babb came off the bench in the second half and found Iranshad for a long-distance goal outside of the penalty box as the Lopes exploded for four goals against the Cougars after being tied at halftime.

Babb and the Lopes will be back in action this week for home games against California Baptist on April 1 and 3.
