"A lot of attention is drawn to her because she had early success," Miller said of Scott. "I think this was one of her better response games. We know the things she's capable of, she knows the things she's capable of and she definitely performed in a lot of categories today."
Lopes freshman guard
Tiarra Brown dominated the third quarter with nine points. Brown finished with 19 points, seven rebounds, three steals and two assists.
CBU took its biggest lead at the 7:22 mark in the fourth quarter, but a 6-0 Lope run sparked GCU to stay in the game.

A hard-fought overtime period resulted in favor of the Lancers.
"To come up short is kind of a double-edged sword for us because we're right there," Miller said. "Now we're hungry. I think you get hungrier after a game like that. You see what you're capable of."
The Lopes have a quick turnaround for Saturday's game, when they look to split and end CBU's winning streak at 3 p.m. (Phoenix time).
