OREM, Utah – The Grand Canyon women's basketball team won its third consecutive road game, taking a 66-59 victory at Utah Valley on Saturday.

Tavia Rowell did most of the damage with 42 of the Lopes' 66 points. Bryant finished with season highs for points (16) and rebounds (10), helping GCU's 24-6 advantage in bench scoring. Holland added 15 points, nine assists, six rebounds and three steals while Rowell scored 11 points on 5-of-7 shooting.
GCU improved to 9-8 overall and moved into a tie for fourth place in the WAC at 4-2, including a 3-0 mark in conference road games. Utah Valley began the week as the WAC's only undefeated team but is now 8-11 overall and 5-2 in the WAC.
The Lopes trailed 30-25 at halftime but outscored Utah Valley 41-29 in the second half. GCU went ahead 39-36 after a 3-point play by sophomore guard
Tianna Brown with 3:11 remaining in the third quarter. The Lopes led 44-42 entering the fourth period.
On the strength of three consecutive field goals, GCU went on an 8-0 run in the final period and led 58-47 after a Holland jumper at the 3:21 mark. Down the stretch, sophomore guard
Laura Piera connected on five of six free throws to push GCU ahead 63-56 with 56 seconds remaining.
The Lopes shot 50% from the field in three of the four quarters and held Utah Valley to just 3-for-15 shooting from behind the arc.

Da'jah Daniel led GCU on the boards with 12 rebounds, one off her season high.
The Wolverines were led by Jordan Holland with 15 points.
GCU is back in action on Thursday when it hosts UT Rio Grande Valley in GCU Arena.
