LAKEWOOD, Wash.  – The Grand Canyon women's golf team finished the second round of the WAC Championship in fourth place on Friday at Oakbrook Golf Club.
For the second consecutive day, the Lopes struggled on the 18th hole and ended the day with an overall score of 598 (30 over par). As a team, the Lopes are 15 over par on the 18
th hole over the first two rounds.
Seattle leads the tournament with a 586 score, followed by New Mexico State (587) and Utah Valley (588) heading into the final round Saturday.

Payton Fehringer's 74, sophomore
Siripatsorn Patchana's 75, junior
Carolina Sandstrom's 76, sophomore
Alexis Linam's 79 and junior
Courtney Vogel's 79.
The Lopes did rally to win the Battle At The Rock Tournament in Riverside earlier this season. The Lopes came from seven shots back to win the tournament over Cal Poly. Not only will GCU face a larger stroke deficit, the Lopes also will need to pass the three squads in front of them.
