PUERTO VALLARTA, Mexico – The Grand Canyon women's golf team completed the second day of the Hawkeye El Tigre Invitational, hosted by Iowa in Mexico.
GCU finished the round in eighth place, just eight shots outside the top five.

Alexis Linam's 75, sophomore
Siripatsorn Patchana's 75, freshman
Payton Fehringer's 76, freshman
Kaylee De Jonge's 77, junior
Courtney Vogel's 78 and junior
Carolina Sandstrom's 78.
Overall, Patchana leads the Lopes in a tie for 10th place, while Linam is also in the top 20 in 17th place.
No. 10 Arizona leads the tournament with a two-round total of 572 (4 under par) that is the only under-par team score.
The final round of the tournament will be held Saturday at El Tigre Golf and Country Club.
