Lopes look for season sweep
The Grand Canyon women's basketball team ends a two-game road trip in Las Cruces, New Mexico on Saturday as the Lopes are looking for their first win in two games and a season sweep of New Mexico State. GCU meets the Aggies for the second time this season, as the Lopes came away with a victory inside GCU Arena. The loss for NMSU is the only loss in conference play this season.Â
GCU matched up with UTRGV on Thursday and fell by a seven-point margin, 49-42, despite junior forward Da'jah Daniel's second-career double-double. Daniel is averaging 9.2 points and 8.7 rebounds per game, while senior center ShaRon Miller leads the team with 11.4 points per contest.Â
