After a split weekend at home, the Grand Canyon women's basketball team takes to the road for a pair of games at Chicago State and Kansas City. The Lopes (4-10, 2-2 WAC) look to get back in the win column with motivation from the three-point victory over New Mexico State last Thursday.

ShaRon Miller averaged 14.0 points over the weekend while putting up a game-high and career-high 24 against UT Rio Grande Valley on Saturday. GCU won both contests over the Cougars last year.
Scouting Chicago State
Chicago State is 0-15 on the year and 0-2 in the Western Athletic Conference after falling to Kansas City at home, 111-58, and California Baptist on the road, 89-52. The Cougars had their closest game against Valparaiso in the Vinewood Farms Classic, losing by just six points (76-70).
Last season, the Cougars were 1-29 after beating Utah Valley on the road, 84-74. CSU faced New Mexico State in the first round of the WAC Tournament and fell, 84-60. The victory over Utah Valley was the first win for Chicago State since February 4, 2016.
This season, Chicago State is paced offensively by Tyeshia Bowers, who averages 13.9 points per game. Ines Mata Boix is holding an average of 11.9 boards per contest, while Bowers leads the team in assists with 3.1 per game.
