Grand Canyon senior midfielder
McKenzie Cook was selected to the All-WAC first team for a consecutive year, giving her All-WAC honor for each of her four seasons after being a second-team pick in her first two GCU seasons.
The WAC's 11-player first team was announced by the conference Tuesday with Cook being tabbed by the coaches as one of three midfielders.
Cook, a Silverdale, Wash., native, ranked second in the WAC for shots (80) and shots on goal (41) on the season. She also led the Lopes with 15 points and six goals, including two game-winners, while adding three assists in 20 games.
In conference play, the senior had two goals and an assist for five points.
Kansas City swept three individual awards while its coach, Chris Cissell, was named WAC Coach of the Year.Â
Cook and the fourth-seeded Lopes kick off the WAC Tournament on Wednesday against fifth-seeded Utah Valley at 2 p.m. (Phoenix time).
