RESULTS
LAKEWOOD, Wash. – The Grand Canyon women's golf team finished in third place at the Pat Lesser-Harbottle Invitational at Tacoma Country and Golf Club.
For the second time in three events, the Lopes were in contention for a tournament title on the back nine. GCU (897) settled for a third-place finish behind champion Santa Clara (891) and runner-up Houston Baptist (895). Boise State, CSU Fullerton and Boston College rounded out the top six finishers.

Siripatsorn Patchana eagled the first hole of the final round and finished with a 2-under 70. The sophomore completed the tournament with a 218 total (74-74-70), good for a fourth-place tie. GCU sophomore
Alexis Linam finished in the top 20 with a 225 total. Lopes junior
Carolina Sandstrom finished in 28
th place (227) while junior teammate
Courtney Vogel was in 32
nd place (230) with freshman
Kaylee De Jonge landing in 47
th place (233).
In the 18-team event, GCU was one of three WAC schools competing. GCU finished at 33 over par, well ahead of conference competitors Utah Valley (49 over) and Seattle U (51 over).
GCU is back in action Oct. 30-31 for the Rainbow Wahine Invitational at Kapolei Golf Club in Hawaii.
