Hill, Murphy named Student-Athletes of the Month

Grand Canyon student-athletes have their sights set on more than just winning on the competition field. With the help of the Academic and Student-Athlete Development staff, the Lopes are looking to provide leadership in the classroom and the community in addition to their roles on their respective teams.

| In the community Hill has volunteered at the Canyon Cares Christmas, Imagine Schools P.E. and Foster Kids Christmas. She has traveled to assist during a Mexico House Building Trip and Phoenix Children's Hospital. |
In the community Murphy volunteered at this season's GCU Women's Golf Invitational earlier this march. |
| On the field Hill ranked fourth on the squad with a .336 batting average (47-for-140) as she started in the catching position in the majority of the games. Her four homers on the season were tied for first on the team and helped lead the GCU pitching staff to a 3.28 ERA on the season. |
On the course With a 71.76 scoring average and eight top-10 finishes, including three top-5 finishes, Murphy led the WAC in stroke average and won the WAC individual title to earn the WAC Player of the Year. |
